I feel like it’s been too long since I’ve written something new. I thought I would take a bit of a brain dump on the month just gone.

In all I feel it’s been a good one. I joined Substack and got to 120 follows in 3 weeks!  I feel like there is a real sense of community. Writers coming together and giving genuine feedback and support. It’s refreshing to see so many people putting their writing out there, and so humbling that anyone would take the time to read my work.

It’s great to see what everyone is writing about too so many fresh and creative voices. The platform is just in it’s infancy so I’m excited to see where this will go.

At home it feels like spring is finally here. The sun has come out and it’s finally  warm.

I’ve been on a mission to tidy up my front drive which has become very overgrown. My next mission will be to tidy the garage- which will be a big job that I’m not looking forward to.

I’m on a bit of a health kick in readiness for my first holiday abroad in 7 years! Next month I turn 40, and I’m celebrating with a very high end holiday to Greece. All inclusive, a private pool, and perhaps best of all; the kids favourite uncle is coming along to keep them entertained . As a planner I enjoy the run up to a holiday almost as much as the actual break. any new trip needs a new notebook ( is there anything better?) For making lists , planning day trips and jotting down ideas, which then becomes a travel journal when I ‘m away. This year I’m looking forward to using the break to get some serious writing done

Speaking of writing; this month I have re issued my 1st Ebook 101 Scrumptious ideas for Spring, full of seasonal ideas, craft and recipes . Available to download as a kindle E book. I’d love if you could check it out.

This month I’ve been loving

this milk frother and Macha tea. With Oat Milk. I've been drinking a green vegi smoothie every morning instead of my usual tea, feeling virtuous.

Yellowstone

As usual with most popular TV I’m late to the party. But on the plus side it means I can binge on all episodes! The best thing about it by far has to be Beth Dutton, played by the amazing …My newest girl crush and most definitely who I want to be when I grow up. The style, the hair but mostly the attitude. I love it all.

Pistachio

My favourite thing to spread on toast is … and pistachio chocolate is having a moment (see Dubia chocolate) I draw the line at paying £20 plus pounds for a bar of chocolate. So I super excited to find one of my favourite chocolates- Lindor, now comes in Pistachio

Podcast

Not just the Tudors , Who doesn’t love a podcast that informs and entertains.  This fascinating deep dive into all aspects of Tudor life covers everything you didn’t learn in school. I recommend the episode about dogs and their role at court.

I’d love to hear how your April was, what little (or big wins) have you had, what are your plan for May?

Whatever it brings I wish you all the best.
